Original artwork description
In this painting, the undulating lines and ridges that appear to mimic natural patterns found in sand dunes or waves or clouds, are blending into the surrounding mist. The fluid transition between the darker and lighter areas generates a sense of movement, as if the natural elements are perpetually shifting and transforming. Evoking natural elements while maintaining an abstract quality is a way for me to make this piece a new way to explore form, texture, and atmospheric effect on our perception and their impact on our emotions.
This original mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, gesso, resins mixed with sands. Being richly textured, it gives the viewer both a visual and a tactile experience.
Size unframed: 44x32” (111.7x81.2cm) with approximately 3” (8cm) of bleeds on all sides for stretching.
On canvas. This painting is shipped rolled on a tube and has to be stretched.
