Water and the way it abstracts and distorts images has always fascinated me. In this painting it is almost as if the water itself is carrying the swimmer away; merging itself with her so the water and the swimmer become one entity. This almost mirrors the sensations one feels when submerged. Totally alone, merged with the underwater world.
This artwork is gallery wrapped meaning the painting continues around the edges and therefore can be hung on the wall without a frame.
