I was listening to a song entitled wisp by the band Sword and the hair turning into clouds and the charcoal smears crystalized ready for workable fixative. The model is Elen. She moves forth in an imaginary landscape.

Darren Jekel is an American oil painter from California and is emerging steadily in the bay area art scene. He is married with two daughters and lives in California’s wine growing region just north of San Francisco.
