This painting was done in winter in my area and shows all the lovely snowfields and muted winter colors in an almost monochrome painting. But still all the little traces and the special texture make this painting come alive. Winter is a time to become quiet, overcome injuries and problems until everything rises again in spring. This painting shows this atmosphere including the rose glow of the rare winter sun.
It would look great with a big silver frame.

Watermarks and lines, scratches and other watercolor effects are important to my work and keep fascinating me.
