Acrylic painting depicting a rain shower breaking through the clouds and onto the sea near Duntulm at the North end of the Isle of Skye Scotland.
This painting was done from a sketch at the time and finished off later back in my studioI have used some heavy texture medium in the foreground to help emphasise the rugged nature of the shoreline and the scene in general.
I have done a few of these moody rainy scenes lately and its a theme I hope to continue with for a while.
This painting is coated in two layers of protective varnish.
