Auvergne landscape, France.
What I sought to capture here is the melancholy of winter. There is no drama, no storm, just the silent weight of this mass of gray-blue clouds pressing down on the landscape, imposing this diffuse light, without cast shadows. Along the path, a few crooked fence posts speak of the fragility of human presence in the solitude of this rugged, wild, and preserved Mézenc massif.
The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows it to be hung without a frame, should you wish.
Materials used:
