This painting is inspired by my own house yard on a quiet winter evening. I wanted to capture the feeling of stillness that comes just before nightfall, when snow softens every sound and the last light of the day reflects across the ground.

I used a palette knife and thick layers of paint to build texture and movement, allowing the surface to echo the uneven, living quality of snow and winter air. Cool blues, whites, and soft purples dominate the scene, while warm light from the house windows brings contrast and a sense of comfort. I worked intuitively to express atmosphere and emotion — the calm, the silence, and the warmth felt from within on a cold evening.
This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork, created from a personal moment, and intended to bring a sense of peace, warmth, and seasonal beauty into the viewer’s space.
