What is Dry Brush technique? Dry Brush technique is to use the color in oil without the use of solvents, the brush is placed on a black oil paint and then rubbed on a cotton cloth until the brush remains an almost invisible track color; with various brushes it proceeds to the light and shade on the sheet. It 'a fast technique, but it requires a lot of attention and patience.The dry brush is a secondary painting technique, which consists in applying color only to raised surfaces. The dry brush technique has a modern style of painting in which the use of brushes of oil paint, synthetic bristle and on watercolor paper or fabric. At first glance the dry brush technique is very similar to pencil portraits.
