I often draw my inspiration from memories of various places that I've visited, combining elements of several different locations. In this case, North Yorkshire.
The painting was made using acrylics and oils on canvas, incorporating splattering techniques and scratching into the wet paint to recreate the textures of the grasses and flowers. The canvas is painted around the edges and is ready to hang.
