Wild Scourie is inspired by the wild and rugged moorland scenery of the far north west coast of the Scottish highlands near the small village of Scourie with its moorland maze of small rocky hills and of lochans or small lakes, called cnoc and lochan a unique landscape to this area as well as the Outer Hebridean islands of Lewis and Harris as well as South Uist. A difficult and confusing landscape to cross.
