A splash of colour in the form of some lovely pink wild poppies while walking my dog on Marlborough downs, crows wheeling in the sky above. This painting was done mostly with a palette knife with thick and thinly applied layers and includes some scumbling, scraffito (scratching!) and spattering with paint for an energetic and colourful interpretation. Painted on a box canvas with the sides painted white, so can be hung without a frame if preferred.

Materials used:

artists quality acrylic paints and glazes on Loxley box canvas
