This watercolor painting captures the delicate simplicity and quiet elegance of a bouquet of cosmos in a crystal vase. The cosmos - humble country flowers with fragile petals and lacy foliage- are rendered in soft pastel tones of white, pale blue, and gentle green,as if veiled in a light mist. Their translucent petals seem to glow with a subtle morning light. Slender stems curve gracefully, adding to the airy feel.
