The dragon arum (Calla palustris), also called swamp calla, snake root, snake herb, swamp snake root or pig's ear, is the only plant species of the genus Calla and the subfamily Calloideae within the family Araceae.
The calla flower and its yellow-green leaf are just beginning to unfold. The black background contrasts very strongly with the light colors and lets them shine intensely. Reference photo Anisja Rossi-Ungaro.
