Original artwork description
In the stillness of a quiet garden, the iris blooms with effortless grace. Whispers of the Iris captures that fleeting moment when a single flower opens fully while delicate buds patiently await their turn. Painted with expressive ink brushstrokes and luminous watercolor, the composition reflects the harmony between movement and stillness.
The iris has long been a symbol of wisdom, hope, courage, and faith. Rather than striving for botanical precision, I sought to express the flower's spirit through flowing lines, soft color, and generous white space. Inspired by traditional East Asian brush painting and Zen philosophy, this artwork invites the viewer to slow down, breathe deeply, and discover beauty in simplicity.
Each painting is created entirely by hand using professional watercolor techniques on archival paper, reflecting my lifelong dedication to watercolor, Chinese brush painting, and the timeless elegance of nature.
