Every February I wait for this thrilling moment.
At first, delicate pink buds appear. A little more time passes - and firm blossoms promise an imminent awakening. Then, after just a few more days, the first shy flowers emerge, and soon the entire almond tree is covered with a soft, airy cloud of bloom.
Of course, after Van Gogh, any attempt to depict a flowering almond tree is destined for comparison with the great master - and, alas, not in my favor.
Yet the temptation to immerse oneself in this tender, ethereal, poetic flowering is so strong that I simply cannot resist.
The painting was created in a canvas board.
The painting is sold unframed.
