Original artwork description
This white abstract sculpture, "Whimsical Impermanence, blue #3," was made on a 24"x48"x 1.5" canvas.
In this new work, I have moved away from the protective circles and rigid squares of my previous series to embrace a spontaneous, flowing rhythm. Composed of soft, sculptural blue elements, this piece captures a joyful movement—the profound relief of letting go.
My journey through two immigrations and the blending of two nations has taught me that our differences are overrated; it is our shared fragility that makes us beautiful. Here, I’ve traded the "informed naivety" of control for a celebration of the unexpected. This path is never linear—it winds and spirals, much like the textures of the stone clay itself.
In the "Whimsical Impermanence" series, I explore the idea that we are not here to conquer, but to simply be. By releasing the need for direction, we find harmony in the "roughness" of our existence. These monochromatic blue forms represent a shift toward interconnectedness, proving that even in our most fragile, impermanent states, we are infinitely complete.
I am an award-winning artist. I create meta-modernistic sculptures on canvas. I have had works appear and win awards in juried art shows across the US and Europe, and have been shown with selected galleries, including Solo and Duo Exhibits.
The artworks are protected from UV rays against fading and dust with coats of varnish.
The artwork will be packed with the highest-grade shipping materials to ensure safe delivery.
