Where the Warmth Lives (2026)Oil painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

50 x 50 x 2cm (unframed)

£480

This painting holds a story I will never forget. I created it during the darkest winter in Ukraine, when we lived through the blackouts. But as you look at this canvas, you won't see darkness—you will see the light we found inside our homes.
At the heart of this work is our fireplace, the only place where the family gathered to stay warm. The New Year’s ornaments on the floor represent the traditions we refused to let go of, even when the world outside felt unstable. In my series "Conversations of Objects," I show how the things around us support us in difficult times. This painting is about hope, unity, and the inner light that stays with us. It will bring a deep sense of peace, resilience, and true warmth to your home, reminding you that there is always a light that stays on.

oil paints, stretched canvas
