- 'When April Pours the Colours'
Artwork description
When April Pours the Colours is part of my Spring Series—a celebration of that moment when the landscape bursts into life after a long winter. Inspired by the ever-changing skies and fresh blooms of the Malvern Hills, this original linocut captures the quiet magic of early spring, when everything begins again in a rush of colour and light.
Created using the reduction linocut technique, this piece is hand-pulled in multiple layers from a single block, with each stage carved and printed in succession. This method means the block is gradually destroyed in the process—making every print in the edition truly one of a kind.
Printed on luxurious Arches88 300gsm paper, the soft tones and gentle textures bring a sense of calm and renewal to any space. Whether your home leans modern, rustic, or eclectic, this print adds a refined touch of seasonal beauty—ideal for a hallway, bedroom, or as a standout in a curated gallery wall.
