Painting from the series "The intelligence of feeling"
Painting referencing the natural world and the choices we make in living our lives. Focusing on the relationship with the developing painting and the paint itself, the Artist seeks to find an emotional balance within the creation of the work.
Parr's series, whilst drawing on scape, is primarily defined by emotion and feeling, whilst remembering and considering absence, time and distance. During the painting process she explores the fine line between pure abstraction and figurative recognition, between order and chaos using oil and charcoal on canvas.
Signed and dated on the side of the canvas the painting is ready to hang. The canvas is deep edged which shows small signs of the working process to the canvas side.
