I live by the beach and love the beach! It is of course utterly inspirational and a lot of works originate there, ideas, and just looking at a vast expanse of water settles the mind.
In this mixed media, watercolor with ink and colored pencil, I have tried to capture that, the beauty of a wild beach with the couple of oystercatchers that return every year.

The birds are ever present, the waves, the colors and the sand dunes that shift with the high and low water, I hope you can almost smell it.
This piece measures 35 cm x 70 cm (14" x 27") and is painted on a piece of warm white, handmade, heavyweight, 300 g, watercolor paper with 4 deckled edges.
I have signed it on the front, and called it "Wetlands" .
