A Scottish west coast landscape painting inspired by many autumn and early winter days I have spent collecting winkles or whilks around the shores of the west coast highlands of Scotland. In this artwork I have tried to convey the rocky coastal scenery of seaweed covered boulders, rocky shores surrounded by moorlands and hills. inspired by the coastal scenery of Lochcarron, Applecross, Torridon, Plockton as well as the Isle of Skye.
