Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by a photograph that I took of a wild flower meadow at Sezincote House. In the distance are an array of grand evergreen trees. In the foreground are lilac wild scabious. Wild scabious flowers are traditionally associated with love and longing, while ecologically they are highly attractive to butterflies and other helpful pollinators. This painting is adorned with highlights of silver leaf. The painting wraps around the sides of the deep canvas, which is strung at the back and ready to hang.

Materials used:

Acrylic, marbling ink, silver leaf
