Original artwork description
I painted this in one October afternoon along the Danube Gorge near Weltenburg, during my visit in Bavaria, working outdoors in a single sitting. I used high-quality, fast-drying alkyd oil paints. Passersby stopped to comment, adding a quiet human layer to the experience, and a lone figures across the river entered the scene naturally. Later, I made only tiny adjustments in the studio, keeping the painting true to the original moment and the conditions in which it was made.
