- Welcome to the Jungle
Artwork description
Inspired by the foliage, with the bright sky and shadows going through the leaves. I took a photo, and a print was born.
'Welcome to the Jungle' is a one plate reduction Linocut.
This means it entirely hand made and no machines or computer’s were involved.
Each layer or colour is printed from one piece of Lino. It is then carved away and another colour printed, this happens repeatedly until the image appears. This particular print has many layers, between 15 and 20 (I tend to lose count!). If you look through the images, I've shown some of the interesting stages it goes through.
It is printed using artist quality oil based inks, on thick Italian printmakers paper. The printed area is 30.5 x 40.5cm, around A3. The paper is about 41cm x 55cm.
The scale of the print means it will be packaged in a wide Art tube.
The postage and packaging fees are for up to 2 prints. If you purchase more than 2 prints I will package them together, where possible and refund excess postage costs.
For the U.K. I ship Royal Mail 1st class tracked or Special Delivery depending on the value of the package.
International orders are shipped Royal Mail International tracked.
Outside the U.K. and USA local customs/duty may be incurred. These are the responsibility of the customer and outside my control.
