Painting was made in a classic, realism technique. It simplicity and almost minimalistic design is clear to everyone. Main idea is clarity in color, composition and story.

Background is a washed by the sun wall. Black sideview silhouette of bride's head and two hands of her partner, carefuly drawing a straight gold line across her face.

The circle of the sunlit earring and the circle of the smooth dark head are related to each other as identical parallel figures and as opposite colors.

Calm and concentrated face and plasticity of the gentle hands express the importance of the moment and simultaneously the timeless meaning of human ritual.

Materials used:

Acrylic, MDF board, Oil, Gold flakes
