Original artwork description:

In this composition I treated the objects almost like figures. The black bottle in the center appears to me as the groom: upright, simple, austere, dressed in dark attire. Beside it stands the white jug, adorned with branches and small oranges that resemble a festive headdress – the bride, lively and radiant. On the left, the small empty bowl feels like a silent witness, a guest whose presence completes the scene. In the foreground, the orange and lemons lie like symbolic offerings – signs of fertility, abundance, and new beginnings. What emerges is the impression of a ceremony, where everyday objects take on transformed roles. The title “Wedding Ceremony” is meant not to describe the literal content, but to invite viewers to see the still life as a symbolic play, carrying both solemnity and joy, silence and festivity.
