Original artwork description:

‘We sailed the World…..’ is the second in a series of three large scale paintings I am currently working on.

Whilst on my daily coastal walks one of my favourite places along my journey is a beautiful park. The park sits on a hill where the land falls away steeply. A row of terraced cottages sit beside the park to the right and from the very top there is the most beautiful view across the estuary.

During the summer months the view is a little obscured by the trees growing on the land below but during the winter months when the trees have lost their leaves and their branches are bare you can see the full expanse of the estuary which is magnificent.

At the top there is a pathway upon which there are several memorial benches for visitors to sit on and enjoy the view. On one of the benches there is a plaque which reads the following “Val and John sailed the world but this was their favourite view” I love sitting on that bench for a while. It is my favourite view too.

It has white painted sides there is no need for framing unless preferred and it has been signed on the back. It has been fitted with cord so is all ready to hang.
