Original artwork description:

I began this piece by working the acrylic in thick, layered textures, pushing and scraping the surface until it felt almost topographic. At one point, a thin wash of color dried faster than expected under the heat gun, leaving delicate crystalline fractures across the violet areas. I kept them. They felt like a quiet accident worth listening to. Additional mixed media elements were added only where needed, just enough to guide the atmosphere of the piece.

The title refers to rediscovery in a vast unknown, a presence returning from emotional orbit. The cool blues, violets, and rose tones seem to vibrate like distant signals. Here, the “astronaut” is consciousness coming back to itself, fragile, luminous, and undeniably real.
