Original artwork description
In this image from the “Way Out” series, a river flows through the streets of an abstract city toward the viewer. Reality and fiction merge in this surreal city. In contrast to the colorful facades of the high-rise buildings, the river and the horizon radiate calm despite the dynamic surroundings. For me, the painting and its title express my longing for peace and nature in what is often a hectic and stressful city life. The texture created by acrylic, oil pastels, sand, and marble powder adds depth, shadows, and light effects.
The sides of the painting are painted so that it can be hung without a frame. The painting is signed on the front and back and ready to hang. The surface of the painting has a protective varnish coating with UV protection.
