For this oil painting I made a paperboat and let it sail in the wild ocean waters of Atlantis. I captured the moment when the paperboat was easily sliding down a big wave, unharmed.
The vertical orientation and minimalist style were inspired by Japanese engravings to underline the dynamics of the moment.
Oil on linen canvas, varnished.
Signed on the front and back.
