In this alla prima oil painting, I wanted to capture with emotional brushstrokes and the palette knife, I make the scene of pond more expressive. The water lilies emerge softly from the cool blues and greens, their pink blooms drifting between reflections and ripples. As I painted, I focused less on detail and more on the sensation of calm—of standing at the water’s edge and feeling the gentle tension between stillness and movement.
The work is painted with oil on stretched canvas , sides are white.
