Blue Temple in Chiang Rai
100% original hand-painted one-of-a-kind watercolor artwork by Tanbelia.
'Wat Rong Suea Ten, Blue Temple in Chiang Rai'

Size 22 x 15 inches (56 x 38 cm).

Chiang Rai Blue Temple – Wat Rong Suea Ten. The Blue Temple is recognizable for its brilliant rich sapphire blue color. This color is symbolically associated with purity, wisdom, and the lack of materialism that Buddhists aspire to. There are murals depicting the story of the Buddha’s life. This modernism makes sense — the Blue Temple was designed by Putha Kabkaew, a student of the artist who built the White Temple in Chiang Rai.

The Blue Temple is known also like “Temple of the Dancing Tiger”. Another ancient temple once stood here, and tigers are said to have roamed freely over the grounds when it was abandoned nearly a century ago.

Original watercolor painting - painted on watercolor paper (Saunders Waterford). Need a decorative frame. On the front side in the lower right corner - the author's signature. Include a certificate of authenticity.

Materials: watercolor paints, watercolor paper, watercolor brush.

Shipping: In a very reliable cardboard tube with tracking.
