With this painting, I sought to portray the magic of the "golden hour" in a rural setting. I am constantly inspired by how the setting sun can transform ordinary trees and a simple cottage into glowing, almost otherworldly silhouettes. I used a bold palette of turquoise and neon orange to convey the warmth I felt despite the winter chill. For me, this piece is about finding a "bright sanctuary" in the middle of a cold landscape.
