In this piece, I aimed to capture a fleeting, almost fairy-tale-like moment — that quiet spark in a child’s eyes when they are expecting something magical, and the chill of winter seems to melt in the warmth of their inner light.
Working with oil paints and building the image through layers allowed me to create softness and depth. Each transparent glaze, laid carefully over the next, breathes life into the portrait and brings a subtle luminosity from within.
“Warm Snow” is not just a portrait — it is a feeling, a suspended breath between the seasons, between reality and imagination.
