This Original One of a Kind painting is another artwork to add to our collection of art inspired by Music. I heard this song by Edwin Starr that is entitled "WAR". It has always been one of my favorite songs since my cousin Terry introduced it to me when we were visiting my Aunt. I was about to graduate from high school in a year or so and had to register for the draft. With the Vietnam raging little did I know how it would affect our family and me in the future. When I heard this song a few weeks ago I could only think of the heartbreaking WAR going on in the Ukraine. I feel so heartbroken for the Ukrainian people! I also feel heartbreak for the Russian people who may not know what is really going on in this war. And the ones that do and protest are squashed terribly.
The shattered protest signs in this artwork is dedicated to them. As the song says... WAR is not good for ANYONE! I will put the lyrics below for your consideration. They were powerful for me during the Wars and near wars going on in my time. The Missiles of October and the Vietnam War especially!
