My inspiration is the culmination of decay, where the destruction of paint uncovers the intense, almost velvety texture of moss and mold underneath. I am fascinated by how the peeling, cracked paint creates a geometric opposition to the organic, fluid form of the green. The light strip at the top, with its subtle horizon line, adds a sense of scale and space, as if the upper part were the sky and the bottom a dense forest.
I aim to evoke a sense of nature's vitality and an appreciation for the beauty that emerges from destruction. The work is full of textural and emotional tension, prompting reflection on the transience of human constructions and the perpetual cycle of renewal in the natural world. It is a micro-landscape with a lyrical yet brutal character.
