I painted this scene after a long forest walk in early spring, when the sunlight had just begun to warm the woodland floor and the first violets emerged from last year’s leaves. These flowers seemed so fragile, yet so full of life, and I felt compelled to capture their quiet beauty and natural elegance.

The composition is filled with light and natural texture: the soft petals, the lush green leaves, and the rich earth below them. I used professional oil paints to highlight the contrast between the vivid purple flowers and the golden-brown forest ground. Each blossom was painted with care, based on real-life observation. The cool background of tall trees and soft blue sky enhances the intimacy of the foreground, making the viewer feel as if they’ve just knelt down in the forest to admire this delicate patch of wildflowers.
