This artwork is an ode to British housing and its remnants of a longstanding history, specfically as this is set within a traditional, Victorian interior. The theatric composition contains two fragile, white roses strewn across the cold, hard tiles. Whether this is as part of an ongoing human exchange, one of anger or shock, out of frame, is something that the viewer can speculate. Rather, this portrait zooms in on one detail, contrasting the white purity of the roses with the dark, ominous shadows cast onto the tiling.
