Original artwork description
This painting is an improvisation in line, shape and colour, its forms and lines suggest multiple lines of flight and crossing paths, arabesques, psychedelic vistas or visual music. Some of the shapes are influenced by calligraphy, glyphs, or the symbols of musical manuscript. The lines and shapes in the painting all respond to one another, and work together to create a rhythm across the painted surface of the work.
For me the painting explores the relation between equilibrium and spontaneous order on the one hand, and chaos on the other.
