Original artwork description
Acrylics on a 1m x1.10m acrylic and aluminium sign board. My biggest piece for a good while where I’ve had the space to really get into the forms of this gigantic ash cloud and lava ejection of one of iItaly’s most notorious volcanoes. Using a number of images , memories of visits to Naples and surrounding islands and a fascination with the idea of carving out these abstract clouds in stone, I’ve used brushes and dip pens with acrylics and liquid acrylics to render a spacious evolution to a previous work Vesuvius 2024 . This piece has clean holes to be screwed directly to the wall or into a frame.
