Original artwork description:

I painted this as part of the Village Series, Vernazza was painted in oil on 24 x 24 x 1.5 gallery wrapped canvas. Vernazza is in Cinque Terre Italy, a quaint little village on the French Riviera. I selected this to paint for the contrasts of the pink, yellow and green buildings and the table umbrellas lining the pathway to the gelatatia! I liked having people included but not dominating the image.

Materials used:

oil on canvas
