This painting began with a single vertical movement—a division that gradually expanded into layers of texture, contrast, and depth.

I worked intuitively, building the surface with acrylic using both brush and palette knife. The composition is structured yet expressive, where deep green meets warm beige, off-white, and bold black. Subtle gold accents are embedded into the layers, catching the light and adding a refined, luminous quality that shifts throughout the day.

As I developed the painting, I was drawn to the idea of structure within abstraction—how strong lines can anchor a composition while allowing texture and color to move freely around them. The layered surface creates a tactile richness, with areas of thickness and scraped textures that reveal underlying tones.

The palette—sage green, earthy beige, creamy white, charcoal black, and gold—feels grounded and sophisticated, making this piece highly versatile for modern, minimalist, or natural interiors.

This is a statement artwork designed to bring depth, contrast, and quiet strength into a space. It works beautifully as a focal point above a sofa, console, or bed, adding both structure and warmth.
