In this bust, I sought to capture a sense of movement and change, working the clay into a form that almost appears to be in transformation. The brush strokes are intentionally lumpy and incomplete, evoking a sense of incompleteness that reflects our perpetual states of becoming. Every aspect of the sculpture, from the rough texture to the leaning posture, is intended to invoke reflection and introspection in the viewer.
