Venice in Silence series was born not in Venice itself, but in the silence that remained with me after the journey.

This series grew from the impressions, memories, and thoughts I carried home from Venice. Rather than depicting the city as a familiar postcard or a place of constant movement, I wanted to paint the Venice I experienced inwardly — quieter, slower, and more contemplative.

As an introvert, I often experience places through their atmosphere rather than through their noise. In Venice, I was drawn to the moments between things: the pause of a canal, the distant architecture softened by air, the almost imperceptible movement of water, and the way light seems to dissolve into reflection.

In this painting, water became more than a surface. I worked with it as a living element, trying to capture three things at once: light, movement, and stillness. The reflections are not intended to reproduce reality precisely; they are fragments of perception, shifting between what I actually saw and what I remember.

Venice in Silence 03 is therefore less a depiction of Venice than a memory of being there — a personal Venetian landscape shaped by observation, solitude, and silence.

An original oil painting from my Venice in Silence series, created for collectors drawn to atmospheric landscapes, Venetian canals, reflective water, quiet cityscapes, and contemporary interpretations of travel and place.
