This is the second painting in a series of artworks inspired by the Chatham Historic Dockyard. Mast houses were used both to make and store masts, whereas the mould loft above them was where the shipwrights scribed the full-size plans of ships into the floor. Today this building houses the Hearts of Oak exhibition which tells the story of the construction of wooden-hulled sail-powered warships at the dockyard.

This painting has been produced using artist grade oil paint on canvas. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to optimise the colour and protect the painting from dust, UV light and other environmental factors. The painting is sold in a complimentary handmade wooden frame which is painted white and fitted with picture wire, ready to hang. The painting is signed on the front and will be shipped with the Certificate of Authenticity.

The painting measures 16 x 12 inches (approx. 40 x 30 cm).

All paintings are professionally wrapped to ensure they arrive in perfect condition and are shipped with tracking and insurance.
