Hi, this is the latest in my abstract and colourist series.
The canvas has been grounded in light reddish purple washes and left to dry. In the lower region, I have tried to make the canvas 'glow' by building up successive layers of vibrant red colour which compliments the ragged patch of light ochre at the top.
When you are trying to generate emotion and feeling in the viewer, the use of colour can be very important. Red and yellow in combination triggers a response similar to that when you see it in the world. For me, it is sweets and ice cream, for others egg and bacon.
Try and imagine what feeling it gives you..
