Original artwork description
The painting depicts a cat looking with interest at a butterfly under a spreading bush of blooming hydrangea. This painting is inspired by Japanese art with its love for nature and animals. Filled with calmness, serenity, love for the present moment, and admiration of reality, the artwork creates a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere around it. This effect is also enhanced by the color palette of the painting, combining pink, yellow and olive shades.
The painting is created using a meticulous layered technique and resembles a large Japanese woodblock print.
The artwork is painted with acrylics on linen canvas. The size of the full canvas is 80 x 110 cm. The size of the painting after being stretched on a stretcher will be approximately 70 x 100 cm.
