SOLD-Under pink skies (2026) Original Ink Drawing by Rob van Hoek

I created this drawing using pen to capture a playful, naive atmosphere that remains both abstract and figurative. The blend of lines and soft colors evokes a sense of calm and hope. The landscape radiates an almost dreamlike energy, filling your home with warmth and creativity, and invites you to explore and unwind.
Colorfast ink. The multiple layers create a painterly effect. Drawing size: 27x27 cm; frame size: 40x40 cm; includes a double mat.

The title is from a song by Leo Sayer (All the titles of my paintings are parts of song lyrics).

Artistic Technique: Layered Pigment Ink on Paper

My drawings are created using a meticulous technique of layering high-quality pigment ink on paper. By utilizing professional, archival-quality pigment-based ink pens, countless delicate strokes are built up in successive layers. This intensive process yields a rich, luminous texture with a distinct painterly quality. While each piece contains an intricate world of fine details, they seamlessly blend into a harmonious composition. It is a contemporary approach that bridges the precision of drawing with the depth and fluid feeling of painting.
