The ‘Fiasco’ is not just the bottle that the protagonist, a playful and somewhat clumsy character, clutches in his hands. It is also an ironic and disarming admission of small imperfections, of those falls that make life lighter and more fun.
The oil on canvas (50×60 cm) immortalises a moment of tender and carefree clumsiness, celebrating the idea that sometimes the biggest ‘fiascos’ are also the most charming.
I created this work on canvas, treating the background and colouring it with several layers of paint to achieve a unique atmosphere. I traced the outline of the painting with chalk and only then did I begin to paint with oil colours.
I use oil colours, applying many thin layers of appropriately diluted paint to create the effects I desire.
Once completely dry, I finished the surface with a final coat of varnish to make it UV resistant.
The work has a simple frame and is ready to hang.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
