Original artwork description
There is nothing I love more while in France, than wandering through the winding, cobblestone Streets, in an attempt to find the hidden secrets and delights around every corner.... From my Home Base in Menton, on the Cote D'Azur, I often head up into the hills a bit, to savor hours or days in the REAL Provence... Depicted by way of so many towns and villages, I am never at a loss for inspiration.... This little Street Scene simply encapsulates bits and pieces of some of my favorite haunts; Eze Village, Antibes, St a Paul de Vence, Rousillon, Saint Remy, Aix..... When I create these paintings, I am typically combining details and bits of Charm from several different places. Rather than depicting precisely what it is I "See" I am more interested in depicting what a place "Feels like..." This canvas is painted around the edges so that it can be hung, unframed...
